Eight nine year old scientist and former Lecturer at the University of the West Indies, Dr. George Proctor World renown botanist and Glenmore Fillington were found guilty of plotting to kill Leila Campbell-Proctor wife of Dr. Proctor.

A guilty verdict was handed down after a seven member mixed jury retired for more than four hours. Immediately after the verdict was handed down they were taken into custody and are to be sentenced on four counts of conspiracy to murder.

The two were placed on trial on allegations that they conspired to kill Dr. Proctor's 69-year-old wife in 2006.

Government prosecutors had led evidence that in April 2006, Dr. Proctor paid $90,000 to the star witness Walden Simpson to kill Mrs. Proctor and three other occupants of his Stanton Terrence residence after he claimed that he was fed up with his marriage and wanted his wife dead.

Dr. Proctor and Mr. Fillington had both denied the allegations.
